LSTV – Southern Strom. Day 0 (the Prologue). There is no going back nowSaturday 19th – 3:52pm. I am sitting in the forest in my little hobbit tent trying to take this all in.
The terror of this morning has gone. The panic of “oh my word what am i in for and is there anything that money can still buy that will help me …!?” has not settled into a resonding “we are here and how AMAZING is this.” I feel somewhat out of my depth (even though I have done two Ironman’s there are a lot of lanky okes wakling around with distant stares and bad sun tans which means either (a) I am WELL undertrained, (b) I use sun block and will age well or (c) I am gonna be here for a long time. I am block C!
The prologue is over. Granted it was only 3.8km and Wayne and i did it in a respectable 28minutes, it kinda put it all into perspective. It’s like Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider, beautiful tough and if you put a foot wrong she’d put you in your place!
I am not one to wax lyrical at the bs tof times so i will let the footage speak for itself. (www.lifestruck.tv)
Tomorrow break is served at 4am.
The Otter- African Trail Run is the only time during the year where runners can legally run the full length of the OTTER in 1 day.
