Day 3 Southern Storm - Lance was right
Who in there right mind would after a day (a whole day) running the otter trail would then get up and do another trail run around Robberg, followed by a quick 50km on a mtb! I can tell you that there are about 87 of us …
We have a foursome – Nick, Rich, Dirk and me. Soon to be joined by Eric (the beast)
The short answers:
– Hardest part: getting out of bed and down the stairs. Then the Robberg hike.
- Best part: getting into a rhythm with the foursome. Thanks boys (and Lauren who joined us for a while.
- The funniest part – Fatso! (some one chirped Eric, hay fatso when you get a second let me past! … Eric chirped … catch me if you can! – beaut!)
- Where’s my head – I am in the last 5 of my age group. My first reaction to that was to raise my game, you can’t come last! The 2nd – hey bugger you are so privileged to be here. To finish this is a HUGE accomplishment …
It’s all about working within myself.
And Ja, Lance was right and I am very happy about that fact. It is all about the bike! 8-)
