You are in!!!

Congratulations on securing an entry to The Southern Storm Trail Duathlon 2010 presented by Hi Tec. While the Magnetic South scouts finalise the final routing one thing is for certain – you will have the exciting challenge of getting the Otter in the bag first before setting out on your bike and trail shoes for the final 4 days of competition. So let’s start with what you have let yourself in for in the first 2 days of the Southern Storm, before we move onto what the rest of the event will bring. Hope your training is going well.
In exactly 125 days you and a hundred or so other likeminded crazy individuals will step onto the beautiful trails of the Southern African Coastline and set off on an adventure of a life time. 300 plus km of the most challenging and spectacular trails ever to be included in a trail event await you.

Since we last communicated with you, Magnetic South is very privileged to confirm that Forest Hall Private Estate near The Crags will become your home from home for the duration of the last 4 days of the 2010 Southern Storm.

Newsletter No. 4

With less than 1 month to go to the Southern Storm I hope you are feeling fit and strong and are getting ready to race. Here some final information to get ready for the race.

First of all we would like to introduce you to some new faces in our core crew – which you will all meet comes race day:

Most of you would know John and yes, he will once again be racing the OTTER and try to run it in under 5 hours. Last year he ran the OTTER in 5 hours 1 minute! NO PRESSURE!
