No doubt you have been enjoying the adventures of preparing yourself for the 2010 Southern Storm presented by Hi-Tec.

Since we last communicated with you, Magnetic South is very privileged to confirm that Forest Hall Private Estate near The Crags will become your home from home for the duration of the last 4 days of the 2010 Southern Storm.

This magnificent estate has been undergoing a major facelift in the last few years with major renovations having taken place on the grand Manor House. A massive re-introduction of indigenous vegetation will ensure this to be an environment that is guaranteed to knock your socks off.

Forest Hall will be your first port of call and for those driving to the event a safe place to park your car. Once you have completed all the registration formalities within the Manor House your kit that will be required for the running of the Otter plus your casual gear before and after the run will be transported to Natures Valley via road with you taking on your prologue run to De Vasselot SANParks camp site, where you will spend the next two nights before returning to Forest Hall.

For those of you who would prefer to upgrade your own accommodation, you will still need to complete the prologue run in order to qualify for a starting time on the Otter the following morning. Transport of your kit and yourself back to your vehicle will then be handled by our staff and the full timings and logistics communicated to you closer to the time.

Upgrade packages for the Southern Storm will include Protea Hotel Tsitsikamma for the first two nights (26 & 27 September)

and thereafter the cottages that have been made available to us on the Forest Hall property on the nights (28/9 to 1/10).

We are waiting for the confirmed prices for this upgrade option at Forest Hall – watch out for another email in the next couple of days and be quick – there is very limited upgrade accommodation available!

The inclusion of the Forest Hall option into this year’s event has been a major scoop as this incredible property is normally only affordable to very very select few who can afford to stay on the property so hosting this event will give you an exclusive all round experience.

The tented race village will also be erected at Forest Hall once the Prologue and Otter Stages are complete – so whether you will opt for the upgrade or will remain in your race tent, all the Southern Storm athletes will be able to enjoy all the vibe together.

Massages

Professional Massage Therapy and Physio support will be available after every stage. You will need to prebook your sessions with Nicole directly. R 150 for 30 min and R 300 for 1 hour bookings.

Southern Storm or Otter Softshell Jacket
Last but not Least Hi-Tec has come out with a fabulous Event Jacket at a special rate of R 699 (incl. VAT) that will be brought into the country only for you from Europe.
