The Otter – African Trail Run 2010 is on!!!
We are delighted to be able to inform you that the post event evaluation of The Otter 2009 by our host, South African National Parks, has been finalised and they are extremely satisfied with the management of the 2009 event. Magnetic South had exceeded their expectations in implementing the very stringent modus operandi required by the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) which had been drawn up to protect this very sensitive region.

No doubt you have been enjoying the adventures of preparing yourself for the 2010 Otter presented by Hi-Tec.
Since we last communicated with you, Magnetic South is very happy to confirm that Forest Hall Private Estate near The Crags will be your first port of call and for those driving to the event a safe place to park your car. Once you have completed all the registration formalities within the Manor House your kit that will be required for the running of the Otter plus your casual gear before and after the run will be transported to Natures Valley via road with you taking on your prologue …

With less than 1 month to go to the OTTER, I hope you are feeling fit and strong and are getting ready to race. Here some final information to get ready for the race.
First of all we would like to introduce you to some new faces in our core crew – which you will all meet comes race day:
Most of you would know John and yes, he will once again be racing the OTTER and try to run it in under 5 hours. Last year he ran the OTTER in 5 hours 1 minute – No pressure!

The Otter- African Trail Run is the only time during the year where runners can legally run the full length of the OTTER in 1 day.
